Introduction
The graduation (three, plus two years) for the Chengdu’s University Department of Chinese Medicine is the main purpose of this school.

Diploma
The academic degree of graduation, is in agreement to the law of the educative system of the Popular Republic of China, since in Portugal there is no legislation on this subject for the Chinese Medicine, being recognized the final Diploma for the Ministry of the Education of Popular Republic of China, situation that is unique in Europe.
This happens even without the Portuguese State recognition on this course.

Professional options
The professional exits of this course are related with the Health area, namely to fill vacancies of Chinese Traditional Doctors (Acupuncture, Fitoterapy, Tuína). That is one of the reasons why it is such a good thing to have the professors working behind academics, being also TCM professionals on clinics all over Portugal and overseas.

Note: It is worth to point out that in 2007 Brazil introduced the Chinese Medicine in the National System of Health (Hospitals and centers of health) and started to pay for the Acupuncture treatments in the private sector. This law was based on the regulation of the World Health Organization (WHO), following also the idea that in such way the state will have lower cost in health management of the population. One day Portugal will adopt this system.
